Many will argue that it is the melody or the harmony, the instrumentation or the voice, the lirycs or the rithym; although all this elements are primordial in a good music what really make one musiv great is the feeling. The feeling that transmit and our ability to relate to it. Is not a matter of taste or complexity but of how it make listeners feel and how they react to that. So keep that in mind while doing music.

Read music!
It is more and more odd this day to find some one that plays and instrument by reading music... Many go as far as to feel proud to not need such thing. I too feel proud of have the gift to to play music just by ear but once again that's not the point. To read music must to be to musician as read letters to a poet! There are so many musics, principaly classical music that are too much complex as to pretend every one shuld play them by ears. The avility to sit and play music you just hear once is amazing but what about to sit and play music you never hear! Music from any place and time can be play by anybody who can read them. Many think that it would be dificul like learn to read chinise but I can asure you is easy! More eassy than you can imagine! So I encorage you to make and effort and learn to read music now.
Who is a musician?
Many of us use to think that know music just becouse we can play the guitar or listen songs all day. Let me tell you that that does not make you a musician! A musician is someone that has the avility to create as well to reproduce music. One of the greatest examples in the history are Beethoven, Mozart and Bach. You may say that that is too all for now days but thats not what I'm treating here. Beethoven composed some of the greatest musics ever and the last of them he did complety deaf!. Mozart started writting shymphonies at the age of 5! He could also hear once a music and go write it down perfectly, and I'm not talking of a little tune but of an entire shymphony!. There are many styles of music and one very old is the fugue, it was so dificul that Beethoven himself only did one in his entire carrear, but it is told that Bach could sit and improvise fuegues for hours and them write them down easily. I know not every one can do that and that if only those aply to musicians there will be very few, all I'm saying is think twice before you call yourself a musician.
